Piper

Saturday 10am-2pm and Sunday 11am-4pm

Back in the day, Piper was a hairdresser but an injury forced her to shift her focus. With her gift of gab and insatiable love for music (and lack of any musical talents) it seemed like a natural transition to dive into the world of radio.

Twenty-seven years later the mountains of Western North Carolina and 105.9 the Mountain are her home. Rock and roll is in her soul and black coffee runs through her veins. She’ll whup your butt at music trivia and will probably have the loudest laugh in the room.

When she’s not playing your favorite classic rock tunes you’ll find her leading yoga classes, hiking, biking, dabbling in henna art, exploring anything paranormal (the truth is out there), and traveling both locally and to foreign lands like Rishikesh, India where she visited the Ashram in which the Beatles wrote the White Album. Her cats Phife and Jolly are her world and not a day goes by without it being filled with gratitude.

While you’re out living your best life catch her live on air Saturdays 10a – 2p and Sundays 11a – 4p.
