Gov’t Mule is preparing their 10th studio release, Shout!, coming out September 24th, and they summoned several pals to join them. In addition to the 11 new tracks on Shout!, there will be a second disc comprised of different takes on Gov’t Mule’s new jams.
Ben Harper, Dr. John, Toots Hibbert from Toots and the Maytals, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James are some of the artists rocking the vocals on the second disc of Shout! Gov’t Mule is still running the show, of course, but they passed the microphone to their friends for the second disc to make a radically different presentation of their new tunes.
