Some schools in Asheville area delay start times after frigid night

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — After another frigid night in Western North Carolina, concerns over icy roads prompted several school districts to delay classes Friday.

Those districts include:

Avery County Schools: Two-hour delay
Haywood County Schools: Two-hour delay
Madison County Schools: Two-hour delay
Mayland Community College: Two-hour delay
Mitchell County Schools: Two-hour delay
Yancey County Schools: Two-hour delay
