ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — If you received gifts you don’t need or are looking to declutter after the holidays, a community swap meet in downtown Asheville offers a chance to trade items with others.

The event, hosted by Pack Memorial Library, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12. Participants can bring new or gently used items in good working condition to exchange with others.

Library organizers suggest bringing items such as kitchen appliances, tools, craft supplies, house plants, home décor and toys. Clothing is not accepted.

“Perhaps you received some holiday gifts that are more fit for regifting or you’ve decided to declutter your space in the new year,” the library said. “This is a great way to give away unwanted items and receive something new or gently used in exchange.”
