It’s 5 o’clock somewhere in Asheville: Where to celebrate National Margarita Day

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Several Asheville area bars, restaurants and breweries are busting out their best Hawaiian shirts and favorite Jimmy Buffett tunes for National Margarita Day, Sunday, Feb. 22. Check out the festivities below.

Mills River Brewing Co.

Mills River Brewing Co. will celebrate National Margarita Day a little early with a 6:30-9:30 p.m. celebration on Saturday, Feb. 21, 336 Banner Farm Road, Mills River. The brewery will offer music by Jimmy Buffett tribute band It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere! and a slate of margarita flavors including blood orange, spicy jalapeño and apple cinnamon.

The Mule at Devil’s Foot Beverage

The Mule boasts the biggest National Margarita Day bash in town, scheduled for 2-8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22 at 131 Sweeten Creek Road. Their celebration will feature live band karaoke by The Pubsters, a sugar and salt scavenger hunt around the cocktail bar and a free cheeseburger “Buffett” in collaboration with Hickory Nut Gap Farm.

Nachos & Beer

Nachos & Beer is a reliable spot for all day $5.99 margaritas every Monday, but the California-style Mexican restaurant will join in for National Margarita Day fun from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, 230 Charlotte Hwy.

Juicy Lucy’s Burger Bar and Grill

Juicy Lucy’s will host their own National Margarita Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, 620 Hendersonville Road. Jimmy Buffett’s younger sister is named Lucy. Coincidence?
