Gunfire in Shiloh community leaves bullet holes but no injuries

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Police Department is currently investigating gunfire in the South Asheville Shiloh community that caused damage to two vehicles and an occupied residence on Monday evening. According to an APD press release, there were no injuries reported.

Around 6:11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, APD officers responded to Crest Avenue to investigate the gunfire reports. Upon arrival, officers located two unoccupied vehicles with multiple bullet holes. As officers canvassed the area, they located shell casings and an occupied residence that had also been struck by gunfire.

During their investigation, officers learned that occupants of three vehicles were reportedly shooting at one another before fleeing the scene.
