Go Bulldogs: Homecoming Weekend on its way to UNC Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — This weekend is Homecoming at the University of North Carolina Asheville. Check out the full schedule of Bulldog events below.

What to expect at UNC Asheville Homecoming

UNC Asheville Homecoming will be held on Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 21 around campus and across Asheville.

“We’re excited to welcome alumni and friends back to campus for UNC Asheville’s 2026 Homecoming,” the university wrote on their website. “Whether you come for one event or stay all day, we can’t wait to see you back on campus.”

Events on the Homecoming schedule include men’s and women’s basketball games, campus tailgating and several alumni meet-ups.

Friday, Feb. 20

  • Baseball pre-game celebration – 1:30-3:30 p.m., Greenwood Baseball Field
  • UNC Asheville versus Rider University baseball game – 3 p.m., Greenwood Baseball Field
  • Career Closet donation drop-off – 3-6 p.m., UNC Asheville Career Center, Ramsey Library
  • Chemistry alumni meet-up – 5 p.m., Highland Brewing, 12 Old Charlotte Hwy.
  • Stargazing at Lookout Observatory for Honors alumni – 6:30 p.m., Lookout Observatory

Saturday, Feb. 21

  • Volunteer with Babies Need Bottoms – 10 a.m., Highsmith Student Union
  • Homecoming tailgate – Noon to 2 p.m., P11 parking lot
  • UNC Asheville campus tour – Noon, Rocky the Bulldog statue outside Kimmel Arena
  • UNC Asheville women’s basketball versus Presbyterian College – 2 p.m., Sherrill Center
  • Alumni Zone opens – 3:30-4:30 p.m., Sherrill Center
  • UNC Asheville men’s basketball versus Radford University, 4:30 p.m., Sherrill Center
  • Closing celebration – 8-11 p.m., Hi-Wire Brewing, 2A Huntsman Pl.
