Disabled vehicle closes lane on I-26 near Weaverville

WEAVERVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A disabled vehicle has closed one lane on Interstate 26 eastbound near Weaverville, according to transportation officials.

The incident was reported Thursday morning near mile marker 20.5, about 1.5 miles east of Exit 19 for U.S. 25/70 in Buncombe County. The right lane is closed, leaving one of two lanes open to traffic.

Officials said the closure is expected to cause significant delays, and motorists are urged to use caution in the area.
