This Guy:
I’ve lived in Asheville since 2008 and I originally HAIL from Michigan where I worked in the automotive industry as a Quality & Industrial Engineer. I’ve always wanted to work in radio as long as I can remember. I started off working at the local roller rink in Utica, Michigan when I was 16. “This next song is for couples and backward skaters only…”
I served in the U.S. Army for 8 years where I single handedly stomped communism out of Europe. Lived in Germany for 4 years where I made nice with the ladies and the local brews… Visited 27 different countries… some voluntarily.
I’ve had a permanent stunt-double since birth; my (handsome) twin brother has gotten me into trouble more times than out of trouble despite being a cop in Detroit. Did I mention he was handsome?
Starting off in a roller rink and actually getting a shot in radio makes me think this is what Mark Wahlberg in Rock Star or Tim “Ripper” Owens joining Judas Priest must have felt.
My Favorite Things:
Playing Poker, Texas Hold’em, 3 Card Poker, & Black Jack. My next wife will most likely be a Victoria Secret super model, let’s start with Miranda Kerr and I’ll work my way down. Right now I’m really digging Shinedown, Nickleback, Metallica, & Live and almost anything live & local in Asheville, especially the street performers. Drinking good local and unique beer.
Least Favorite Things:
Drama… Keep your hormones and emotions in check, they make medication for that… get some. Slow drivers. Get your ass out of the left lane; they call it a “fast lane” for a reason now move over already. National restaurants that all have the same generic food on the inside with a different name on the outside. Go somewhere unique. That’s why I love Asheville, so many unique restaurants. Fake people and people that act like other people than themselves... Be unique, be yourself.
