BEST LIVE ALBUMS
Thin Lizzy is taking top honors for their concert recording. The band's 1978 disc "Live And Dangerous" has earned the title of "The Greatest Live Album of All Time" in a PlanetRock.com poll. Coming in at number two on the fan-voted list, is Deep Purple's 1973 effort "Made In Japan," while UFO's 1979 concert collection "Strangers in the Night" lands at number three. The Who's 1970 album "Live At Leeds" and AC/DC's 1978 set "If You Want Blood, You Got It" round out the top five.
Some bands have multiple entries. Rush placed three discs on the list, while Led Zeppelin and Queen are each represented with two albums. The Canadian trio's titles include "All The World's A Stage" at 19, "Exit Stage Left" at 20, and "Rush In Rio" at 35. Zeppelin's entries are "The Song Remains the Same" at 17 and "How The West Was Won" at 25. Queen's "Live Killers" is in 18th place, and their "Live at Wembley '86" has the number 26 spot. Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Peter Frampton, KISS, Genesis, Yes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Metallica are among the other bands with albums making the cut.
